About Shasta
Hailing from Flint, Michigan, Shasta Averyhardt's golf story began at just 7 years old, nurtured by her parents' unwavering support. Through junior and amateur tournaments, she honed her craft, culminating in a standout collegiate career at Jackson State University.
With 9 collegiate wins, including 4 SWAC conference championships, Shasta's talent shone bright, earning her an LPGA Tour card in 2011, making history as the 4th African American woman to achieve this feat.
Despite stepping away briefly to explore accounting, Shasta's love for the game pulled her back. Alongside 7 professional wins, she's a familiar face at the US Women’s Open and earned the 2012 LPGA Epson Tour Rising Star Award.
